CHAP GOH MEH

Oops a bit outdated blog here. I did snap some interesting photos, but i kept in my memory card. Sorry for the buzy-ness of mine for delaying to post lor. Chap Goh Meh also well known as the Chinese Valentine's Day. During this 15th Day of CNY, people usually prepare 2 famous delicacy desserts for the morning prayer. Either is Bubur Che Che or Deep Fry "Nian Gao". They have their own meaning on this last day of CNY celebration. Bubur che che – and che che means lots or abundance. So, it’s considered auspicious to distribute bubur cha cha to family and friends. Seems alot of people preparing it, my mom this time made the deep fried "Nian Gao" with sweet potato and yam. "Nian Gao", a festive delicacy similar to Chinese phrase ‘getting higher each year’. So whom who received it will have better career advancement and promotion.
