Our Fun Rides in Melaka
Day 1 - Trishaw Ride
We saw a few trishaws around Jonker street, but we weren't interested yet.
Then, when we stop at the Stadthuys square, we found more and attractive trishaws. Almost all of them decorated their trishaw magnificently. Attract foreigners and the local ones like us. There are many design/types and colors to choose from. Even some invest woofer speaker installed at the trishaw. We heard one of them playing PSY song "Gentlemen" - So Cool!
Our Minangkabau decor Trishaw.
1 ride cost RM35 for about 45minutes and can be more. They will bring us around all the 12 places printed on the leaflet. Hence, most of the places are quite near to each either. I kesian the pakcik lar - need to cycle with all his mighty strength. At least, he takes rest when we stop by at certain places for sight seeing and photo taking. He will wait until we've done.

Day 2 - River Cruise
The second day we walked a lot. Hot weather too....
While we were heading to experience the Melaka River Cruise, I saw these flowers. I snap these using my 2yo Panasonic Lumix GF3.
Many foreigners come here for the cruise too. This is their simple boat with canvas. Adult RM10, Children RM5
Us
Here we go....
Many of you love this photo right? I posted up again here...
It is another cheap ride for sight seeing along the river.
Come to Melaka City, must experience this River Cruise yeah. Worth it. I belief scenery at night even better. Well, during the day the view was not bad at all too. We can see how they upkeep the old buildings by mural painting on each wall clearly.
More over here... There are a few small cafes and Malay "warong" facing the river... My son and Bernice never stop waiving to the customers seating facing the river. In return, there was a friendly Makcik and several foreigners waived back to them.
We are Malaysian! Oh I wish to go down and snap closer shot!
I like this one. What you think?

After end of our cruise, we walk back and we take rest at Dataran Quayside.
We're all waiting for hubby and BIL. They walked back to take our car at Jonker Boutique Hotel car park. It took them probably 20 minutes or more. Phew! Not always have chances to walk that far. Despite the hot day, I think is a good exercise for them.

ReplyDeleteSingaporean tourists love Melaka as it is so nearby for their weekend trips plus food is cheap. Many of them bought up all the old houses along Jonker Street!
