Colouring Contest @ McDonald's Taiping Lake Garden DT
It was past weekend event.....
One fine evening when I picked up my son from my mom place, he told me he wanted to join a colouring contest. So I asked where is it? He told me at McDonald's Taiping Lake Garden DT. So the conversation started;
Mummy: Are you sure you want to take part?
Calvin: Yes, I want.
Mummy: Teacher asked all of you to join?
Calvin: No lar, I just wanted to go.
Mummy:I tell you first, mummy not going to sit beside you, OK?
Calvin: OK.
Mummy: If you wanted to participate, then you must seat there and colour until complete. Kenot say, you don't want to colour, OK?
Calvin: OK.
Calvin just informed me 4 days before the contest. So not much to practice also. Daddy managed to get him a table and a chair just for him to participate in this colouring contest. As for the colouring materials he already have a set which he brings to his art & craft class every Sunday morning.
Many kids joined on that Sunday. There are two groups. Group A is for age 3-6 and group B is for age 7-12. Both have different picture to colour. After registration at the counter as early as 8.30am until 9,15am, parents choose the best place for their kids to get ready. The registration fee is RM12.
Calvin met a few of his friends and some are from his old kindergarten. I'm surprise he still know their names.
I told him maybe he need to colour the Ronald McDonald uncle. So he Google-d from his Ipad and search for him. More a less red, yellow and white colour. Somehow, he likes to colour him BLUE that day. *Faint* Oh dear my boy! Whatever it is, I knew he can't win but at least he try and participate in the contest. Good exposure as well as he enjoyed his fun day.
While waiting for the result, every participants are given a Happy Meal set with toys. My boy is very hungry after that contest. Daddy didn't stay along with us, but he'll pick us when the event ended later.
Of course after meal, having fun with his bunch of friends. Oops, my son didn't call them as friends. He called them as buddies. They still have time to play at the McDonald's playground and waited for Ronald McDonald's show.
And here comes the long waited Ronald McDonald show... After playing games with Ronald McDonald, winners were announced and prizes were given.
Those who didn't win still obtained a certificate from the McDonald's management for the appreciation to join this contest. Everyone's name was called up and approach in front to shake hand with Ronald McDonald.
He enjoyed the day very much. Showing his daddy all those stuffs from McDonald party pack.

He sure had lots of fun! It's the experience that counts for him!
