New Office at Prai (Part II) ~ Bamboo Buffet

Hubby organized a buffet lunch to celebrate their new office opening ceremony. He ordered a package buffet from Bamboo Buffet catering from Penang. Minimum order for 30-50pax @ RM25 each. The buffet lunch started as early as 11.30am.
Their price is quite reasonable with the service they provided and the quality of the food they served. For this event, Bamboo provide assistants for preparing the food and assured everything is in tip top condition. Even 2 staffs from them assured and help to clear the table when guest left the table.
Table arrangement is all set by the Bamboo people too. Cutlery, napkins and plates arranged nicely like you are having buffet at hotel. It depends, if you wish to have a better one, they even can provide catering arrangement with ceramic platters and so on. Ice sculpture also got.
Red and white is their theme colour on that bright and sunny day. Even the canopy is in red colour. Very "ong" ~ Chinese always believe red colour resemble good fortune and good luck.
Look at the photo above, suddenly my hubby's office looks so grand. Canopy is not included in the package, but they can help us to get it and all plan and arrange by their organization. The first time we catered Bamboo was during my BIL wedding dinner at Taiping house.
Here are some local dishes served on that special day.
The main one is fried rice.
Mixed vegetables - cauliflower, sweet peas, carrots and button mushrooms.
Photo above is Chicken Rendang and there are two more dishes (I have no idea where is the photo, phai seh). Sweet and sour fish fillet and another one is prawn with satay sauce.
Not even that, they have a stall preparing their signature dish.
It is the deep fried chicken ala Bamboo style. This deep fried chicken used their own recipe flour. Besides that, we have spring rolls too.
I guess a buffet is not complete without dessert right?
Since it was a hot day it is nice to have this cool pudding with nata de coco in assortment flavour. Hey, we took some back home especially mango and lychee ones.
Ordinary dual flavour butter cake.
They even prepared a salad bar. Served with a few kinds of salad dressing.
Ooh.... this is everyone favourite, Penang Char Keow Teow. 1 more, 2 more and so on. There's a auntie who fried for us. Guest starts to line up to order...
They provide Ice Kacang too.

They served cold peach tea for the guest as well. My hubby also prepared extra beverage: like beers and packet drinks. The food is more than enough for the guest and my hubby's Bangladesh workers. About 3.30pm the event ended. We still have some food left, we "da pao" ~ take away back home for dinner. About 4pm the Bamboo van come and clear the area. They are very efficient and they make sure my hubby's office compound is clean. We all gone home after that. Hubby came home later when everything is done.

    1. I also hoping for that. They did come over Taiping to search but not that strategic, Prai is best choice for them.
