DIAMONDS
Do you love diamond? I do!
Now, we can get the same quality of diamonds by growing from labs instead of mining ones. There are now more environmental friendly compare digging from the grown.
What are "conflict free" diamonds?
Conflict free diamonds are originated from ethical sources. Usually they are opposed to conflict or "blood" diamonds, the extraction of which involve human rights abuse, child labor, violence and devastating environmental impact. Conflict free lab-grown diamonds have nothing to do with all these immoral actions.
Blood mined diamonds
The thing is that many natural diamonds are mined in Africa, where there are a lot of war-torn regions, like Angola or the Democratic Republic of Congo, where mining industry produce many active conflict zones. Natural diamonds are often appear to be the cause of armed conflicts that take human lives, that is why they are often called "conflict diamonds". Moreover, Africa belongs to the group of Third World countries, where living standards are very low and human rights can be easily abused with impunity
I personally love White (colorless) diamondsWhat about you?

Hi Angeline, very interesting.
ReplyDeleteToday some of the World's best and beautiful diamonds come from Canada. And very popular too as it is very tiny polar bears or a maple leaf etched into the back to show from Canada.
