Christmas Dinner at THIRTY TWO @ THE MANSION

25-12-2010: This year, my hubby decided to have our Christmas dinner at Thirty Two @ The Mansion, Penang again. At first, I planned to go for a Christmas Buffet Dinner at Rasa Sayang Hotel costing us RM190 per pax. But, then hubby said it is more worth to spend the money at a fine dining restaurant like 32 @ The Mansion. I quickly agreed with him without thinking or two ^^. It has been our third visits here and it is the first time for Calvin to experience at a fine dining restaurant. This round, it was my pleasure to treat my hubby in conjunction with his birthday celebration as well.

We have hot bun with soft butter spread while we waited for our food to be served. Then we have fresh oysters as the starter. It is something not gonna be missed by hubby and me. Then we ordered Piquant salad with spicy lemongrass vinaigrette. It was quite appetizing with special made sauce. Then of course wild mushroom soup with Italian style for Calvin. He loves mushroom so much.

I was so worried of Calvin making so much noise at the restaurant. Fortunately, he was well behaved that night. I'm glad to bring him together with us to join the fun and also let him exposed to the atmosphere of a fine dining restaurant.

Would like to thank the English man who approached our table and gave Calvin an reindeer band. (No wonder he kept looking at our table) ^^.

I even noticed that Calvin was the only kid in the restaurant.

Calvin was so shy to put on the reindeer band. Hahaha

Main course for Calvin: Fish & Chips For me: Crispy Cod Fish Stack with Cream Sauce. Very presentable.
Danny have his NZ Sirloin Steak with Black Pepper Sauce.
Banana Split with Almond Flakes completed our Christmas Dinner with satisfaction.

We were also entertained by the life band singing Christmas song and even sentimental song, all thru the night.

After we settled the bill, we took some photos outside the entrance with the X'mas tree decor.

At the end of the day, our Christmas night ended with an eye catching fireworks blast on our way home.

Five years ago, Danny proposed to me at the same place & on the same day back in 2005. He planned so well with a bouquet, a fine dinner and of course with a special dessert which written like this "Will You Marry Me". So sweet isn't it? He then kneels down and proposed to me with another big surprise - the diamond ring. My heart was melted away with happy tears by his thoughtfulness of making the day so memorable to me. Dear how can I forget this sweetest day at Thirty Two @ The Mansion?

Night view: THIRTY TWO @ THE MANSIONTowards the entrance, you'll see the elegant posh and with pretty nice interior designed. Each indoor dining tables were placed with a candle light and set up with fine dining cutlery set. They also have the garden view which is the outdoor dining.
