Happy Birthday Doctor!

Today is my papa's best buddy birthday. He is a doctor and he is our family panel doctor. Mummy asked me to bake a cake for him this time. A surprise cake actually. Yesterday evening after work, I sent the cake over to Dr Ng's house as requested by my parents. So today he can celebrate her his birthday with this wonderful cake.
Later at night, Dr Ng called up and say thank you for baking such a lovely cake for him. Hehehe...you're most welcome uncle. He told me that he is too old to have a cake for birthday. Oh, then I said a birthday celebration is not complete without a cake, sing a birthday song, blowing candles and cutting cake session. *_^. Hey, only special person will only have special birthday cake on his special day! Before we hang up the phone, I wish him a very happy birthday!

Longan cake
This time, I filled the layered cake with Longan. Cos' I can't find any nice and sweet mangoes anymore. So I try to make the rose with yellow kiwi. It works still. Listed below are the basic and useful recipes to refer from my side.
>Basic Sponge Cake
>Whipped Cream
>Butter Cream
> Garfield Cake
>Zucchini & Peach Cake
>Mango Cake
>Checkerboard Cake

  2. Happy birthday, Dr! Wah!!! That is so very nice of you to go through the trouble of making one of your own for him - most people would just stop by a shop to buy, if at all...and your cake looks sooooo nice - anytime better than those in some of the shops. Double thumbs up!!!

  3. Happy Birthday to Doctor Ng! Too old for cake? How old is he anyway?

You are so good at baking cakes and decorating them now that you can start a cake shop. :) I like cakes with fruit in them. Your kiwi rose is just as beautiful as your mango rose. Well done!

    3. i think baking cake is really fun, as it allows you to be creative and imaginative, and many times improvise on what you only have with you.. or we can call that adventurous and experimental also?? :p
